Our October Paintings

It’s always fun when we get to announce next months painting tutorials. October kicks off with some fall goodness and we also have our first “snow” painting for you.  These paintings are what’s slated for our October Casey K HQ Monthly Membership – your four regular paintings plus the Painting of the Month. If you haven’t joined yet don’t wait too much longer — we’ll be closing membership down for a while in the next few weeks.

Halloween Gnome

The Halloween Gnome is a new painting for 2021 and has quickly become one of our favorites. You will learn some of our easy techniques to highlight and shade different parts to give the gnome character and depth.

The wispy beard is created with a rake brush and always comes out fantastic.  To add additional Halloween fun to our gnome, you will learn how to create the perfect spider and web using the script liner brush.

Lastly the painting is complete when you add the fluffy clouds to the background with the filbert brush. We know you will love adding this Halloween Gnome to your Fall decorations.

Owl With Witches Hat

This Halloween Owl Painting Class is one that is sure to delight!

Learn our simple techniques to create this fun painting from making a realistic looking moon to creating the eyes that look like they are glowing in the night!

This painting has beautiful golds throughout and will look amazing with your Fall decorations!!!

Is it too early for winter paintings?

We don’t think it’s too early!

We love our snowmen paintings and so do our  local painters. We’ll be doing a few of them in the next few months and just couldn’t wait to paint our first one with you.

I just love the how this snowman looks on this rustic looking pallet. If you don’t have a pallet, you can always use our Free Tutorial to make canvas look like wood! Learn our simple techniques to create this beautiful snowman.

Colorful Butterfly

Our October kids/all ages painting is our colorful butterfly.

This has been a favorite at our Family Day paintings the past few seasons and we wanted to bring it to our membership.

This colorful painting teaches simple techniques such as how to blend, ombre, highlight, line the painting and be creative with colors.

Everyone is always aflutter with how it turns out!

Painting of the Month: Hello Fall Truck

The Painting of the Month pick is a fan favorite that Casey has chosen for October.

One of our painters favorites over the years has been the Fall Truck Painting to go with their red truck for winter. The early 1900’s style pick up truck is a fantastic antique aqua color and is filled with a bed of brightly colored pumpkins.

This painting tutorial includes various techniques, such as shading, highlighting and using the liner brush to name a few, where Casey breaks down each technique so that all painters, even a beginner, is pleased with their finished painting and proud to hang it on their wall.

The bed of the truck is adorned with realistic wood sideboards to make sure the pumpkins stay in their place. You will love how this Fall Truck Painting turns out!!!
