Our Philosophy

We had an inquiry a few weeks back from an at-home painter that wasn’t happy with the selection of our initial paintings. They were looking for more diversity and maybe more complicated paintings. We welcome all feedback, so we talked about it and decided to make this short video and post.

Our paintings are what draw painters into our classes the first time for sure. But what brings them back? We know it to be several things:

  • Were they able to complete the painting in a stress-free setting – i.e. was the painting easily “doable”
  • Did they get our full attention and help when they needed it
  • They had a good time, enjoyed the atmosphere, our company, and the company of others

These three things add up to one final result: They had a good time!

A paint party is meant to be a good time. Nobody wants to pay for three hour of stress and they certainly won’t pay that again if that’s what they encounter.

We hear all the time that “you make beautiful paintings that look hard easy to paint”. That’s our goal. And that’s how we select our paintings. And that’s why we’ve had that same people painting with us throughout the years.

Casey’s teaching style is to break a painting down piece by piece to make what looks a little more difficult doable for even a first-time painter.

We’ve taught thousands of painters of the years – our method is tried and true and it works.

You can watch the video below to give you a little more about our teaching philosophy.
